- Deliver Hands-On Learning – Offer a live-streamed Advanced Male Urethral Catheterisation (AMUC) course, integrating simulation-based training for healthcare professionals.
- Support Evidence-Based Practice – Showcase clinical research, real-world case studies, and the impact of catheterisation injury prevention strategies.
- Encourage Innovation Adoption – Discuss barriers to implementing new technology in hospitals and strategies to integrate safer catheterisation methods.
- Foster Multidisciplinary Collaboration – Bring together urologists, clinicians, nurses, educators, policymakers, managers and procurement specialists to drive change in patient safety.
- Offer CPD Certification – Provide attendees with recognised CPD accreditation to support ongoing professional development.
Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites to attend the AUCA 2025 Academic Conference.
However, for the Advanced Male Urethral Catheterisation (AMUC) Course, the following is recommended:
- Healthcare Background: Designed for urologists, doctors, nurses, clinical educators, and medical trainees involved in urinary catheterisation.
- Basic Knowledge of Catheterisation: Prior experience with basic urethral catheterisation is required.
- Separate Registration for AMUC Course: Delegates wishing to participate in the live-streamed AMUC course must register separately.
- Consent for Live-Streamed Training: AMUC delegates consent to being part of a live-stream filming event.
- CPD Certification Requirement: Completion of post-course feedback is necessary to receive the AUCA Certification in Advanced Male Urethral Catheterisation (5.5 CPD credits).

AMUC Course Delegates – If you have paid for the in-person AMUC course and also wish to attend the free morning conference, you must register for both events separately using the same email address.
