Advanced Urinary Catheterisation Academy (AUCA)
AUCA helps healthcare organisations improve catheterisation safety through specialist e-learning that can be integrated into their own Learning Management Systems, supporting locally delivered practical skills training and competency assessment.
The annual AUCA Conference brings the international community together to share evidence, incident learning and best practice in catheter-related patient safety.
Annual institutional licences are available for up to 250, 500 or 1,000 learners, with enterprise options for larger organisations.
AUCA E-Learning for Healthcare Organisations
AUCA provides specialist e-learning in urinary catheterisation and related clinical skills for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Healthcare organisations can license individual courses, a 3-course bundle or the full AUCA curriculum for integration into their own Learning Management System (LMS), supporting standardised training, scalable onboarding and locally delivered practical skills programmes.
Basic Male Urethral Catheterisation (BMUC)
This e-learning course is tailored for healthcare professionals to equip them with the essential knowledge and skills required for male urethral catheterisation. It covers key topics including male anatomy, selecting the appropriate catheter, catheter drainage devices, indications for catheterisation, procedural fundamentals, proper documentation, and a comprehensive understanding of the causes and consequences of urethral catheterisation trauma.
Advanced Male Urinary Catheterisation (AMUC)
This e-learning course is designed for healthcare professionals looking to enhance their skills in male urinary catheterisation. It covers topics such as urethral catheterisation trauma, its causes and consequences, selecting the appropriate catheter, indications for using the UCD catheter, materials and procedures for advanced male urethral catheterisation, and troubleshooting complications with the UCD catheter. Completion of this course is mandatory before attending the practical skills training session.
Advanced Cauterisation Skills for Junior Doctors
This course is tailored for Junior Doctors, offering a thorough introduction to both basic and advanced catheterisation techniques, with a strong focus on patient safety and trauma prevention. Completion of this course is required before attending the mandatory skills training.
Female Urethral Catheterisation
This e-learning course is designed to prepare healthcare professionals for female urethral catheterisation.
